I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Apartment Gedimino 22, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like just another building on Vilnius’s main drag. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are hiding in plain sight, and this turned out to be one of those gems that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special.

The location is actually brilliant once you realize what you’ve got here. You’re literally on Gedimino Prospektas – I mean, this is the street in Vilnius. Everything happens on this boulevard, from the morning coffee rush at the little cafés to the evening stroll locals take toward the cathedral. I loved being able to grab breakfast at that bakery just down the street (the one with the blue awning – you’ll know it when you see the line of locals), then walk maybe ten minutes to reach Old Town’s cobblestone maze. The apartment itself sits right in Naujamiestis, which honestly feels more authentic than staying in the touristy center. You get to see how the city actually breathes.

What really struck me about this place was how thoughtfully everything was set up. The apartment has that clean, minimalist vibe that actually works – not the sterile kind you sometimes get, but more like someone who really cares about design lives here. The windows face the street, so there’s decent natural light during the day, though I’d recommend bringing earplugs if you’re sensitive to urban sounds. Gedimino can get a bit lively, especially on weekends when people are heading to the bars in Užupis. The kitchen was surprisingly well-equipped – I mean, I actually cooked a proper meal there, which says something since most apartment rentals give you maybe two plates and call it good. There’s a decent-sized fridge, and the coffee maker works properly, which honestly made my mornings so much better. Check-in was smooth too – they send you clear instructions beforehand, and the key pickup was right where they said it would be. No hunting around or awkward phone calls trying to find someone.

Here’s the thing that really won me over though – the value just makes sense. For what you’d pay at some generic hotel chain, you get your own space in the heart of everything, plus that feeling of actually living in Vilnius for a few days instead of just passing through. The 9.7 rating isn’t just hype either; people genuinely seem to love this place, and after staying there, I get why. It’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but it’s comfortable, practical, and puts you exactly where you want to be. If you’re the type who likes exploring neighborhoods on foot, trying local spots, and having your own little home base to come back to, this apartment delivers. Just don’t expect a concierge – you’re pretty much on your own here, but that’s sort of the point.

  Luxurious apartment in a beautiful building on a very good location. We absolutely loved staying here and would definitely like come back some day. The host was very friendly and accommodating.

  The apartment located at the heart of the city center- walking distance to all main attractions and old town. Safe, lockable yard, great looking hallway to apartment. Apartment itself is gorgeous- high quality, clean, comfortable, smells nice. Quite a lot of storage, that was super comfortable during long stay, separated bedroom from the rest of studio is great for a bit of privacy. Everything worked well, didn't have any issues at all. Mattress is from memory foam-for me was super comfortable. Hot water comes very fast. There is oven, dishwasher, washer and dryer. TV connects Netflix easily. I had really great long stay.
