Instead, I found this charming little place tucked away in Vilnius Old Town that feels more like staying in a local friend’s really nice apartment than a typical hotel.

The location is actually perfect if you want to experience Vilnius like someone who lives there. You’re right in the heart of the Old Town – I mean, we’re talking cobblestone streets and medieval architecture right outside your door – but it’s on one of those quieter side streets where you won’t hear drunk tourists stumbling around at 2 AM. The “lake” reference in the name makes more sense when you realize you can easily walk to the Neris River waterfront, though I wouldn’t call it lakefront property exactly. What I loved was how you could grab morning coffee from a local spot (there’s this tiny café about two minutes away that locals actually use) and then wander into Cathedral Square or Gediminas Tower without dealing with any tourist trap areas first.

The apartments themselves have this boutique hotel vibe – they don’t bother with official star ratings, which I actually appreciate because those can be pretty meaningless anyway. Each unit feels different, sort of like someone carefully renovated old spaces while keeping the character intact. The one I stayed in had these beautiful high ceilings and original wooden floors that creaked just enough to feel authentic without being annoying. Kitchen facilities are genuinely useful too, not those sad hotel kitchenettes with two plates and a broken microwave. I actually cooked a proper meal using ingredients from the nearby Hales Market, which felt amazing after weeks of restaurant food. The 8.2 rating seems about right – it’s not luxury, but everything works well and there’s clear attention to detail. Check-in was refreshingly personal; you’re not dealing with some massive front desk operation, just real people who know the neighborhood and can point you toward the good stuff. Parking can be tricky in this part of Old Town (honestly, it’s medieval streets, what do you expect?), but they help sort that out. I’d definitely come back, especially because staying here made me feel like I was actually living in Vilnius for a few days rather than just passing through as another tourist.

  Мы были приятно удивлены комфортом и уютом этих апартаментов. Интерьер продуман до мелочей, создавая атмосферу домашнего тепла. Всё необходимое для проживания было предоставлено, что сделало наш отдых беззаботным. Чистота и порядок в апартаментах заслуживают отдельной похвалы. Обязательно вернёмся сюда снова и рекомендуем всем!

  What could be improved: В ванной комнате протекал душ.Мы были не на машине. Указанное местоположение ввело в заблуждение: оно очень далеко от старого города, нужно ехать на двух видах общественного транспорта. Хотя потом мы поняли, что это плюс — из окна автобуса можно было отлично познакомиться с современным городом.

  Nydelig beliggenhet. Huset ligger i første rekke mot innsjøen, med privat strand. Leiigheten er bra.
  
  What could be improved: Booking.com-annonsen sier stedet ligger i sentrum. HELT FEIL! DETTE ER HELE 15-20 KM. UTENFOR VILNIUS SENTRUM. 1,5 km. å gå til nærmeste bussholdeplass og matbutikk. Taxi €18 (Bolt €12). 15-20 min. kjøring. Stedet har nydelig beliggenhet, men er helt ubrukelig for en weekendtrip for å utforske Vilnius gamleby. Vi følte oss fullstendig lurt av Booking.com. Vil aldri bestille med dem igjen, så lenge de er så slurvete / unøyaktige i stedsbesrivelsen.
