The building itself has that restored medieval thing going on without feeling like a theme park – there’s actual character in the walls, you know? The apartment (number 40, hence the name) sits high enough that you catch glimpses of red rooftops through the windows, and I swear the morning light hits just right if you’re an early coffee person like me.

What really sold me was the attention to small stuff that actually matters when you’re living somewhere for a few days. The shower pressure is legitimate – not that sad European trickle you brace yourself for. The kitchen setup means you can actually cook if you want to save some euros or just got tired of cepelinai (though honestly, never get tired of cepelinai). And here’s something I didn’t expect – the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every time someone in the next room opens Netflix, which feels like a minor miracle in these old buildings. The whole place feels like someone who actually travels designed it, rather than just throwing together whatever furniture was cheapest.

Parking was way less stressful than I anticipated, too. There’s street parking that doesn’t cost a fortune, and the hosts actually know which spots work versus which ones will get you a ticket – that kind of local knowledge you can’t Google. The neighborhood gets lively in the evenings with people heading toward Užupis proper, but it settles down pretty reasonably. I’m usually sensitive to noise, but the thick walls do their job. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that “meet me at this random corner with three bags while I explain seventeen house rules” situation that happens too often with apartment rentals. They just get that you want to drop your stuff and start exploring, you know what I mean?

  + Apartment is more spacious and more comfortable than how it looks in the pictures! The plan is very handy.
  + The best over-roofs view I have ever had: you see only churches, forests, red roofs. Very inspiring! Just looking out is relaxing and empowers your soul!
  + Perfect location in ther middle of beautiful neighbourhood; only a few minutes walk to all sights, a very good supermarket 20 m, bakeries & restaurants nearby, 3 min walk to big park, etc
  + In spite of the central location, the apartment is peaceful and silent.
  + AC keeps it cool in the day, and in the night you can open windows to have cross-draught
  + though the building is old, the shower etc work perfectly

  What could be improved: + There are no thick curtains to block the light
  + If you are invalid with a heavy suitcase, you will remember the stairs for the rest of your life

  Cozy apartment with a stunning view over the Vilnius Old Town. I endured -20 degrees in January in this flat with no problems. The building itself is not for people with mobility issues (steep wooden stairs). For others who love comfort, beauty and spectacular views, this is your call.   The location is excellent and really comfortable access to the apartment. Everything was very clean.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment needs a some care, a loose tap in the kitchen and not being able to fully close the shower and bits and bobs that should be in better order especially for the price.

  Großartige Lage mitten im Künstlerviertel, alles in der Innenstadt fußläufig erreichbar, total sauber, bequemes Bett, schnelles Internet, möbliert im praktischen Ikeastyle, großes Bad mit Waschmaschine – alles, was man braucht. Absolut ruhige Lage und dennoch zentral.
  
  What could be improved: Klimaanlage war unnötigerweise im Wohn- und nicht im Schlafraum. Um in dem Dachgeschoss bei draußen über 30 Grad eine passable Schlaftemperatur hinzubekommen, musste das Wohnzimmer zum Eisfach runtergekühkt werden. Alles andere war wirklich prima.
