You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Algirdo Sunlight Studio when I first walked up to the building on Algirdo gatvė – I mean, it’s tucked into this fairly quiet residential stretch in Naujamiestis, and from the outside it looks pretty understated. But honestly, sometimes those are the places that surprise you the most. The moment I stepped inside, I got why they call it “Sunlight” – the windows are positioned perfectly to catch that gorgeous Baltic light, especially in the morning when it streams across the polished floors and makes everything feel way more expensive than it actually is.

The studio setup is actually brilliant for Vilnius. Most hotels in this price range cram you into these tiny rooms, but here you get proper space to spread out. The kitchenette isn’t just for show either – I actually used it, which is rare for me when I’m traveling. There’s a decent-sized fridge and the cooktop works well, plus they stock real coffee, not those awful instant packets. The bed sits right where it catches the afternoon light (hence the name, I guess), and I found myself just lying there reading way longer than I planned. The neighborhood around Algirdo gatvė is perfect for that kind of slow morning – you can hear birds instead of traffic, which is pretty remarkable when you’re still walking distance from the Old Town. I grabbed groceries at the IKI just a few blocks down and felt like I was living there rather than just visiting.

What really won me over though was how quiet it stays, even on weekends. Naujamiestis can get pretty lively, especially near Gedimino prospektas, but this particular street maintains that residential calm. The soundproofing is solid – I could barely hear my neighbors, and trust me, I’m usually the person complaining about paper-thin walls. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, no hovering or upselling, just quick and efficient. I mean, for a 3-star place with a perfect rating, I was half-expecting some catch, but honestly the biggest issue I had was that the shower pressure could be stronger. That’s it. The location works perfectly if you want to walk everywhere important – about 15 minutes to Cathedral Square, maybe 20 to Užupis if you’re feeling adventurous, and there’s a reliable bus stop practically outside the door. I ended up extending my stay an extra night just because I wasn’t ready to leave that sunny little space behind.

  What could be improved: Ese apartamento es muy incómodo a partir de las 5:30 de la madrugada, no puedes dormir por qué tienen cortina de la oficina entra toda la luz
  El colchón es malísimo , es muy duro…
  La cama no es recta, es vertical … que la cabeza se queda abajo en la pierna arriba…
  Dejaron abierto las ventanas y ha habido mucho mosquitos …
  Tengo fotos de todo hecho … y le pasé el propietario

  Porque en realidad es un buen apartamento …
