Alexa Old Town Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Alexa Old Town on Pylimo Street, you immediately get that feeling you’re in for something good. This four-star hotel sits right in the sweet spot of Vilnius — close enough to everything that matters, but tucked away on a quieter street where you won’t be dodging tour groups every morning. The building itself has that understated elegance that works so well in the Old Town, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re genuinely in the heart of things without being right on top of the main tourist drag. Pylimo Street gives you easy access to Cathedral Square and Gediminas Avenue, but you can actually get a decent night’s sleep. The couples who stay here seem to really get it (they rate the location 9.1, which makes sense), and I can see why. You can walk to most of the Old Town’s highlights in under ten minutes, but you’re not paying premium prices for being directly on the main square. Plus, there’s private parking right at the hotel, which anyone who’s tried to navigate Vilnius by car will appreciate.
The Room Experience
The rooms here are what I’d call thoughtfully done — not flashy, but everything works the way it should. You get that clean, modern feel without losing the character that makes staying in the Old Town special. The room I stayed in had good natural light (something you can’t take for granted in these historic buildings), and the bathroom was properly updated. What struck me most was the attention to details that actually matter when you’re traveling — decent closet space, reliable WiFi, and windows that actually keep the street noise out.
What Sets It Apart
There’s something to be said for a place that keeps guests coming back, and Alexa Old Town definitely has more repeat visitors than most hotels I’ve encountered. I think it comes down to getting the fundamentals right without trying too hard to impress. The staff knows the neighborhood well enough to give you actual recommendations (not just the obvious tourist spots), and the whole operation feels refreshingly straightforward. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town — it’s just focused on being really good at what it does.
Why Guests Love It
Look, with a 9.2 location score, this place clearly knows its strengths. You’re getting that perfect balance of being in the action while still having a peaceful base to return to. The fact that so many people choose to stay here again tells you something about the overall experience — it’s the kind of place that just works. Whether you’re exploring the cobblestone streets, checking out the local restaurant scene, or using Vilnius as a base for day trips, you’ll appreciate having such solid, well-located accommodations to come back to.

Excellent location, self check in and check out
What could be improved: Needed cash for city tax, mattress was too soft and the neighbourhood was quite loud at nightVery Good – Arnis from Latvia – July 24, 2025 (8/10)
Very vell location near old town and market. Parking in a closed courtyard. Quiet rooms.
What could be improved: The refrigerator worked badly.Located right next to a market hall, a perfect starting point to explore. – David from Netherlands – July 20, 2025 (8/10)

Great location but expensive parking – Cassidy from Spain – July 17, 2025 (8/10)
The property was in a great location near to the centre. The room was clean and comfortable
What could be improved: It was quite a large hotel but with no staff. I understand that you have to keep costs down but at times it’s nice to have the personal touch.
Parking around the hotel was also a nightmare. Costing 2.50€ an hour but a short distance away I found free parkingNice for one night – Александр from Belarus – July 17, 2025 (8/10)
The room was very neat and tidy. Excellent location. Helpful staff.
What could be improved: There’s no air conditioning in the room, so we had to keep the window open and it was loud and we had difficulties to fall asleep.Good – Jevgenijs from Latvia – July 16, 2025 (7/10)
The location is brilliant, very close both to the Old Town and to the railway station. The famous Hales Turgus is next door to the hotel.
The bed was very comfortable.
The staff never comes out to the guests and never shows up even during check-in and check-out. Maybe that's an advantage.
What could be improved: Unfortunately, it was not very clean, and the room clearly needed some renovation.
During my stay at the hotel, I constantly had one or another question. Why did they turn off the water supply valve to the toilet before my arrival? How to turn on some of the lamps that were hanging from the ceiling, but there was no switch? Conversely, part of the light in the toilet was constantly on, and I still wonder whether it could be turned off inside the room? Why not give the visitor a magnetic key and not make him enter the code every time?
All this made my stay a bit awkward.Perfect city centre budget stay – Dávid from Netherlands – July 5, 2025 (8/10)
Great location, comfortable, clean, self-check in.
Wonderful – Maria from Greece – June 29, 2025 (9/10)
Everything was great! The location, the room. Very good value for money. It also was very convenient that we could leave our luggages secure in the reception area the day of check out, for many hours untill the time of our flight.
What could be improved: No complaint at all.
